Police in Glasgow have warned people that a phone scam is circulating.
The force shared the tip on X (formerly known as Twitter), saying that an officer will never call you to ask for money.
The post explains that scammers will phone people pretending to be from Police Scotland.
If this happens, cops urge everyone to contact 101 to investigate before obeying.

Officers said: "Be aware of fraudulent banking scams in Glasgow.
"Police officers will never ask for your bank details.
"If you receive a call claiming to be from Police Scotland requesting any form of payment, contact us via 101 to investigate this matter before parting with your money."
