A man is due in court following a 'rape' in a Glasgow street.
Cops sealed off Mitchell Street in the city centre for around five hours on Sunday evening after receiving a report of a woman being 'attacked'.
A police presence was pictured in the area carrying out investigations.
The road reopened at 9.30pm and the force has since revealed that a man has been arrested and charged in connection with an alleged serious sexual assault.
The attack is alleged to have occurred between 5.20am and 6am on Sunday morning.
The 32-year-old is expected to appear in court on Tuesday, November 28.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “A 32-year-old man has been arrested and charged following the serious sexual assault of a woman which happened between 5.20am and 6am on Sunday, November 26, 2023, in Mitchell Street, Glasgow.
"A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal and he is expected to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Tuesday, November 28, 2023.”
