Fresh attempts are being made to trace a man still missing after nearly 18 months - but the public must not approach him.
James Clacher was last seen in the Airdrie area at around 4pm on May 30, 2022.
The 55-year-old's car was found at Loch Long car park in Argyll the following day and officers then launched a search for him.
In a bid to find him a year and a half later, people are being urged to contact cops if they see James, but must not approach him.
He is described as 5ft 6in tall, of athletic build with a shaved head.
When last seen, he was wearing khaki-coloured trousers, a dark hooded jacket, a dark t-shirt, a dark baseball cap and dark-coloured boots.
Inspector Alex Clark said: “James has now been missing for over a year. Despite extensive police enquiries and searches by officers and our partners, he remains missing.”
Police urge anyone with information on James’ whereabouts to contact police on 101, quoting reference 0985 of May 31, 2022.
