A driver is fighting for their life after a crash at a busy roundabout near Glasgow.
The incident involving a white Ford Transit van happened in the early hours of Monday morning, November 27, near Bellziehill roundabout in North Lanarkshire.
Police Scotland have confirmed that a 55-year-old driver has been taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment where he is described as "critical".
And now the force have appealed for witnesses following the crash as they look to piece together the incident.
Police Sergeant John Houston of the Road Policing Unit said: “Our investigation into the cause of this crash is ongoing.
"I would ask anyone who may have witnessed the crash, or who may have dash-cam footage, and has not yet spoken to or provided this information to officers, to contact us as soon as possible."
The Sergeant confirmed that the road had re-opened around 11:45am the same morning.
He went on to say: " I want to thank members of the public for their patience while we investigated this serious collision.”
