A planning application to combine two businesses to create a cafe was refused.
Applicant SDR Fast Foods Ltd submitted the bid to merge a vape shop and a Korean restaurant and create a new Crema Di Caffe on Dumbarton Road in April.
Documents revealed plans to redesign and replace the shopfront as well as to hang new signage.
Now, the plan was thrown out by the Glasgow City Council planning committee.

In the papers, the bosses said "due to the kitchen extract vent below neighbouring residential flats, the proposed development would adversely affect the wellbeing and amenity of residents of the flats on the upper floors of the tenement due to the effects of cooking odours and fumes".
Another reason listed was that "insufficient information has been provided to demonstrate the proposal has made suitable arrangements for the management and disposal of waste".
