A TEENAGER has been rushed to hospital after being hit by a car.
Emergency services were called to Swisscot Avenue in Hamilton at around 3.15pm this afternoon following a report of person being hit by a car.
The 13-year-old boy was taken to Wishaw General Hospital for treatment.
His condition is not known.
The road was closed but reopened at around 5pm.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 3.15pm on Thursday, 30 November, 2023, officers were called to a report of a crash involving a car and a pedestrian on Swisscot Avenue in Hamilton.
“The pedestrian, a 13-year-old boy, was taken to Wishaw General Hospital for treatment.
“The road was closed and re-opened around 5pm.”
