Bosses at Marks and Spencer have revealed the opening date of a brand-new store in Glasgow.
A new 3000-square-foot store on Grange Road in Battlefield will welcome shoppers from Wednesday, December 6.
Built in partnership with HM Stanley Ltd, the shop will feature the usual highlights that loyal Marks shoppers love, from the bakery to their Select Farms range.
The shop will bring over 20 new jobs to the local area.
It comes after we reported that planners had been granted permission to open the store on the site of the former Victoria Infirmary.
Store manager Kathleen Swallow said: “We are really excited to announce that the new M&S Battlefield Food Convenience store will open on December 6!
"I can’t wait to welcome the local community in to visit the store and see it all for themselves.
"Whether you’re looking for a top-up shop or picking up some bits on the way home from work – we’ve got you covered.”
Sean Geddes, Managing Director of The Explorer Group Ltd, said: “We are excited to announce that the Glasgow Battlefield M&S Food Convenience Store will open at 106 Grange Road on December 6, 2023.
"This new store marks the first of an ambitious roll-out of M&S Food Convenience stores across Scotland by HM Stanley Ltd. in partnership with Marks and Spencer.
"We can't wait to welcome the local community to the store in December and experience it for themselves.”
The store is located at 106 Grange Road, Glasgow, G42 9QH and will be open from Monday to Sunday, 8am until 8pm.
