A new mural depicting Rab C Nesbitt has been spotted in the city centre.
The lifelike painting of the iconic street philosopher has taken over the shopfront of Safe Hands on the corner of Argyle Street and Miller Street.
The portrait, done by renowned mural artist Smug, has been drawing the attention of shoppers and passersby.
A spokesperson for Safe Hands SMP said: "Rab C is an iconic character for Glasgow."
The shop, which operated as a barbershop for 10 years, recently transitioned into a scalp micro pigmentation studio which caters to men and women experiencing hair loss.
They added: "The barbershop has had a series of iconic murals over the years so it was only fitting to keep it Glasgow-related with a wee nod back to something a lot of people will remember.
"A large demographic of customers with hair loss will remember Rab C."
Safe Hands has partnered with Smug on several previous murals like the pigeon and skull murals and a rendition of two "safe" hands grabbing signage for the shop.
The Australian-born artist has painted some of Glasgow’s most beloved city centre murals featured on the council’s Mural Trail such as the High Street gable-end depiction of St Mungo.
A spokesperson for Safe Hands said: "You ask Smug to do anything and he is next-level incredible."
The new work is inspired by the hit TV show which premiered in 1988 and starred Gregor Fisher and Elaine C Smith.
The BBC series, written by Ian Pattison, spanned the 1990s with a few returns in the 2010s.
The show follows Rab, played by Fisher, and the trials and tribulations of his decision to pursue unemployment as a lifestyle choice.
