Built in partnership with HM Stanley Ltd, the shop features the usual highlights that loyal Marks shoppers will have came to love from the bakery to their Select Farms range.
The store was opened to a M&S-styled ribbon being cut with the clothes and food giants well-known Percy the Pig in attendance to mark the moment.
It has also created 20 new jobs in the area with Kathleen Swallow confirming that they have hired within the community.
The store will be opened Monday to Sunday from 8am until 8pm.
She said: "It is really exciting and when those doors opened there it was the best part of it.
"We have been in this shop for 10 days getting everything cleaned and the stock done. It has been great putting it all together.
"The good thing is the customers have been really behind us all the way and as soon as the lights went on the signage they asked if we were open.
"There is a community page here in Battlefield who have been posting great things about the store which is great to see - and the new jobs we have created we have hired within the community."
Sean Geddes, managing director of The Explorer Group Ltd, said: “We are so excited to open the doors to our Glasgow Battlefield M&S Food Convenience Store today.
"This new store marks the first of an ambitious roll-out of M&S Food Convenience stores across Scotland by HM Stanley Ltd. in partnership with Marks and Spencer.
"We can’t wait to welcome the local community through the doors and let them experience it for themselves.”
