A warning has been issued after a rise in scammers pretending to be cops.
Following a number of recent fraudulent banking scams in the East Dunbartonshire area, officers are spreading the word to people urging them to be vigilant.
It comes as people are said to be receiving calls from individuals claiming to be working for Police Scotland.
The force said it was 'aware' of the recent scams and the public is being reminded that genuine police officers will never ask for bank details or money.
Community Sergeant John Robertson said: “Officers will never ask for your bank details, cash or send couriers to collect money.
“If you receive a call claiming to be from Police Scotland requesting any form of payment, hang up and contact us via 101, to speak to a genuine member of Police Scotland."
