A woman has been hospitalised following an early morning incident near a popular park.
Mercy crews were called to Nethercraigs Road in Paisley shortly before 9am on Thursday after the victim was hit by a vehicle.
The incident occurred near the Gleniffer Braes country park and the woman, aged in her 50s, was rushed to Royal Alexandra Hospital.
No further details on a police investigation were given.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 8.45am on Thursday, December 7, police were called to a report of a woman struck by a vehicle on Nethercraigs Road, Paisley.
“Officers attended and the woman in her 50s was taken to Royal Alexandra Hospital.”
The Scottish Ambulance Service has been contacted for comment.
