Urgent repairs will result in multiple closures on the M8 Kingston Bridge.
SGN needs to repair a leak at the junction of West Street and Wallace Street in Glasgow at the weekend.
For safety reasons, several lanes will need to be closed to motorists from Friday, December 8 at 8pm.
The M8 westbound off-ramp at Junction 20, leading to the junction of West Street and Wallace Street, will be reduced to one lane.
There will be restricted access to the M8 westbound from the A814 Stobcross Road on-slip, and a signed diversion will be in place via North Street and St Vincent Street.
Work is expected to take around three days, and the road is expected to reopen fully before rush hour on Monday, December 11.
Dan Brown, a spokesperson for gas company SGN, said: “We understand roadworks can be frustrating, however, this work is essential to ensuring a safe and reliable supply of gas is delivered to nearby homes and businesses.
“We would encourage motorists to allow extra time for their journeys while this repair work takes place.”
