A new Aldi store has officially opened in Cumbernauld.
The state-of-the-art store has opened its doors at 8am today and the ribbon was cut by Team GB curling hero Hammy McMillan Jr and pupils from Whitelees Primary School.
The Castlecary Road shop is the newest Aldi to open in the town and will be run by store manager Craig Watterson, along with a team of 40 colleagues from the local community.
He said: “It’s been a wonderful morning here at the opening of Aldi Cumbernauld. It was lovely to welcome our new customers into store, and I look forward to meeting more of the community in the coming weeks.
"I’m also thrilled that we’ve been able to support Whitelees Primary School through our partnership with Team GB.”
