A PENSIONER was taken to hospital after four cars collided near East Kilbride.
999 crews were called to the crash just before 9am this morning on the A726, near the town.
Ambulance staff examined two people at the scene and one person, 67, was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.
The road was closed for the investigation but has now been reopened.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 8.45am on Friday, December 8, 2023, we were called to a report of a four-car crash on the A726 near East Kilbride.
"Emergency services attended and two people were checked at the scene.
"A 67-year-old man was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.
"The road was closed to allow for recovery and has since reopened.
"Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.
"Anyone with any information or relevant dashcam footage is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident 0684 of Friday, December 8, 2023."
