ALMOST 100 children from Glasgow schools enjoyed a special Christmas party at the City Chambers today.
As part of an annual tradition, the city's Lord Provost Jacqueline McLaren hosted youngsters with additional support needs for a day filled with music, dancing, balloon animals, a meal and Santa himself.
The kids, along with teachers and caregivers, enjoyed the festive celebration, which was also attended by special guests Elsa and a Teenage Ninja Turtle.
Glasgow Times photographer Gordon Terris took the joyful images.
The Lord Provost said: "This is one of our events in the Christmas calendar in the city.
"They see Santa, get gifts, have a great time getting balloons and doing hokey-cokey.
"I love it."
Laura Henaghan, support for learning worker at Hampden Primary, said: "The kids absolutely love coming here, it means so much to them.
"Seeing Santa and the experience they get is just amazing. Here, there is no judgement for anyone and it's lovely to see them happy.
"It's a fantastic day and gets them out of school."
Kirsty Ward, support worker at Langlands Primary, added: "It's great to see the whole community come together.
"Our kids never get a chance to get out there like this, so this is fantastic.
"I love that every child has something they want to get involved in, whether it's the puppeteers, dancing, seeing the characters.
"And even if they don't want to, they can sit silently in the back and enjoy their food, playing games."
