A man due to stand trial accused of setting a woman up to be a prostitute has a warrant out for his arrest.
John Leacock, 39, also known as Jonathan Bowman, is claimed to have recruited the woman in December 2020.
Court papers state that Leacock arranged her travel from Bristol to Glasgow.
He is alleged to have set up accommodation for her at a flat and advertised her "services" online as a "prostitute."
Leacock is claimed to have arranged for customers to attend the flat for the purposes of receiving sexual services from her.
The charge says that he agreed the price to be paid with the customers for the services.
Leacock is stated to have received and retained the payments.
This is said to have been done with a view to the woman being exploited by means of a person exercising control, direction or influence over her prostitution.
The allegations state this was done in a way which showed that the person was aiding abetting or compelling the prostitution.
Leacock faces a separate charge of assaulting the woman at the flat in the city centre's St Vincent Street.
He is claimed to have repeatedly shouted at her, pursued her, grabbed her wrist and dug his fingernails into her hand.
The charge goes on to say Leacock placed his hand over her mouth and nose then pushed her on the face to her injury.
The two charges are claimed to have been aggravated by a connection with human trafficking activity.
A further allegation states Leacock, of Swindon, Wiltshire, behaved in a threatening or abusive manner at the same flat.
It is claimed Leacock repeatedly carried a knife around the property and repeatedly placed a cabinet outside the woman's bedroom, restricting her movements.
A trial was to take place on Monday at Glasgow Sheriff Court but Leacock did not appear.
A warrant for his arrest was granted by Sheriff Barry Divers.
