A man has been arrested and accused of pushing an emergency button on a train which caused cancellations and delays.
As the Glasgow Times reported yesterday, several trains between Bellshill and Motherwell were cancelled or delayed due to a "disturbance".
Police Scotland today revealed that this was caused by a 50-year-old man pushing the emergency button on a carriage at Bellshill station.
999 crews were called around 5.20pm yesterday and the man was arrested and charged with a railway by-law offence.
