A man is in hospital after a daylight attack in Glasgow's East End days before Christmas.
Cops closed Westmuir Street in Parkhead on Thursday after the man was seriously assaulted.
Horrified witnesses told the Glasgow Times the man was "stabbed in the neck" and was "covered in blood".
Our reporter arrived at the scene around 1pm, and saw police vans and a car block off the area as probes continued.
Police have not yet confirmed if the assault involved any weapons at this stage.
Emergency services rushed the man to Glasgow Royal Infirmary for treatment.
Officers remained stationed in the area with police tape closing down the street.
One person said: “A man was stabbed in the neck. It was awful, in the middle of the day as well. It makes you feel really unsafe.”
