A person was knocked down by a car near a busy retail park just days before Christmas.
The condition of the pedestrian is unknown.
Emergency crews raced to the scene near Palace Grounds Retail Park, Hamilton around 5pm on Friday.
The age of the person hit by the car is unknown.
It is understood ambulances were on the scene alongside police.
The force has not revealed if any arrests were made following the crash.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 5pm on Friday, December 22, 2023, we received a report of a crash involving a vehicle and a pedestrian on Palace Grounds Road, Hamilton.
"Scottish Ambulance Service have been contacted."
