TWO people are accused of leaving a toddler alone in a hotel room near a razor blade and having drugs in his system.

Liam Quinn, 27, and Kirsty Hoban, 39, face a neglect charge at Glasgow Sheriff Court from July 4, 2022.

It is claimed that the pair were responsible for a boy who they left unattended at Yotel in Glasgow city centre for prolonged periods.

Quinn, of the city's Kings Park, and Hoban, of Coatbridge, are said to have done this while a razor blade was left among the child's toys on a shelf.

It is claimed the boy was placed in the top bunk bed without adequate support protections.

The charge goes on to say that Quinn and Hoban "caused him to have cocaine within his system."

It is stated that the pair also consumed a quantity of alcohol and or drugs which made them so intoxicated that they were unable to care for him.

The pair face separate charges of behaving in a threatening or abusive manner at the same time and place.

Quinn is said to have shouted, swore, uttered threats of violence and challenged others to a fight as well as behaved in an aggressive manner.

Hoban meantime is stated to have shouted, swore, recorded police officers with her mobile phone as well as behaved in an aggressive manner.

The pair are further accused of assaulting two police officers each.

Quinn is said to have punched PC Michael Henaghan on the cheek and seized his arm to his injury.

He is also claimed to have bit PC Alistair Martin on the body and kicked him on his head to his injury.

Hoban is stated to have seized PC Anthony McLaughlin on his protective clothing and struggled violently with him.
