A FIREMAN embroiled his ex-lover into a revenge porn saga days after their relationship ended.
Jason Drury, 50, threatened to disclose seven intimate images of the woman in February 2023.
The firefighter with 30 years' service went on to create a Facebook account and posted on her employer's page.
One of the posts included a picture of the woman naked in a bath.
Drury claimed he was responding amid claims that he was the victim of online trolling by the woman.
Drury pleaded guilty at Glasgow Sheriff Court to disclosing intimate photographs to the public of the woman without consent.
Sheriff Shona Gilroy granted Drury an absolute discharge meaning he will not be punished for the crime and no conviction is recorded.
The court heard that six days after the end of the relationship the woman received a message from Drury on WhatsApp.
It said: "You have been told, enjoy your post, it's about to go live."
Prosecutor Caitlin O'Hare added: "He sent her seven images which she identified as pictures of herself.
"She had consented for him to have them during the relationship.
"The woman did not see the images until she had woken up the next morning.
"She said she felt embarrassed and sick at the threats to disclose the images."
Drury later sent another message saying: "You started it and I will finish you."
The woman contacted her manager at work meantime as Drury had also threatened to upload images to the company's Facebook page.
Miss O'Hare said: "Her boss told her that Drury had already created a Facebook account and responded to one of the company's posts."
Drury also contacted the woman stating: "Plenty more where they came from you pathetic loser."
Drury went on to post a picture of the woman in a bath on the comment section of the company's page.
The hearing was told that the woman's body was covered by bubbles and that the company deleted the post.
The woman contacted the police and Drury was later arrested.
Haroun Malik, defending, told the court that his client, of the city's Anniesland, has 30 years' service as a firefighter.
The lawyer stated that he requested an absolute discharge at an earlier hearing due to the "exceptional" nature of the case.
He added: "Mr Drury is a man with previous good character and he let himself down in terms of his behaviour which was within the context of the breakdown of a relationship.
"You will see he accepts full responsibility for his actions.
"The victim had been in effect trolling him and it was after a number of incidents.
"Instead of contacting the police, he simply reacted to some posts that were made about him."
Sheriff Gilroy stated: "It is unfortunate that we don't have more information about the context from the Crown.
"There are other ways to deal with this matter."
The sheriff then granted the absolute discharge.
