UPDATE Restaurant chain breaks silence after closing huge Glasgow unit
A restaurant chain has closed a huge location in the city centre.
Mexican eatery Barburrito shut its doors at Hope Street with the unit now up for let by Eadie Cairns Ltd.
The unit has a Class 3 licence and seating across three floors.
Signage has appeared on the doors of the restaurant that reads: "We are still open in Glasgow, head to our Queen Street store open for breakfast, lunch, dinner and on delivery."
A reason for the closure was not given.
Barburrito has been contacted for comment.
The British chain is known for its Mexican-style fast food and primarily serves burritos.
As of January 7, 2024, it operates 13 locations across the UK.
