A MAN has been arrested after a teen was allegedly followed while walking home in Giffnock.
We previously reported that cops had launched an investigation after a man was allegedly acting suspiciously on Rowand Avenue in the town.
Officers say they received a report of the incident on Monday, January 8.
It comes after a concerned resident took to social media to warn others in the area. They claimed their 17-year-old daughter was followed by a man on Sunday evening.
Now, police have confirmed a 26-year-old has been arrested and charged in connection with the incident.
He is set to appear in court today.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “Around 10.55am on Monday, January 8, 2024, officers received a report of a man acting suspiciously on Rowand Avenue, Glasgow.
“A 26-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the incident.
“He is due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Wednesday, January 10.”
