A MAN has been arrested after allegedly being caught "slumped" at the wheel of his car in Giffnock.
It comes after officers stopped a motor in the town on Tuesday, January 9.
Initially, cops said the driver made off, however, he stopped a short distance later.
The man was then arrested for dangerous driving and being unfit to drive.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: "In early hours of Monday, January 9, roads policing officers stopped a car where the driver was slumped at the wheel in Giffnock.
"He initially made off but was stopped a short distance later.
"He was arrested for dangerous driving and being unfit to drive.
