An urgent warning has been issued as crooks pretend to be cops and scam people.
Police say that scammers have been phoning locals in the Lanarkshire area pretending to be officers.
They say that victims are being told that a fraud case is being investigated or someone has their bank card.
Now, police are urging residents to be on their guard.
