Armed cops were called to a city hotel today following a firearm alert.
Emergency crews were called out to the hotel on Paisley Road West at 10.20am following reports of a firearm in a room of the premises.
Armed officers attended but no firearm was recovered.
Police have said no further action will be taken.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 10.20 am on Friday, January 12, a report was made to police of a what appeared to be a firearm within a room of a hotel on Paisley Road West, Glasgow.
"Armed officers attended the premises, however, no firearm was recovered. No further police action."
