Glasgow's Four Corners was closed off by cops for over nine hours after an 'attack'.
We previously reported that Argyle Street had been shut to all traffic from around 9pm on Sunday, January 14.
Traffic information bulletins said this was due to an 'ongoing police incident'.
The road reopened at around 6.45am on Monday, January 15.
Officers have since revealed that they were called to a report of an attack on a 30-year-old man.
He was rushed to hospital, along with a 42-year-old man.
Cops have arrested the same 42-year-old man in connection with the alleged incident.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We received a report that a 30-year-old man had been assaulted on Argyle Street, Glasgow, around 9.15pm on Sunday, January 14, 2024.
“Officers attended and the man was taken to hospital for treatment.
“A 42-year-old man was also taken to hospital for treatment.
“A 42-year-old man has been arrested in connection and enquiries are ongoing.”
