A street in Rutherglen has been taped off by cops after a deliberate fire.

Main Street was sealed off following the late-night blaze at a nearby building on Sunday.

Four fire engines raced to the scene at around 8.40pm to extinguish the flames.

Images shared with the Glasgow Times show a police cordon still in place on Monday morning.

The tape has been erected along the street near the Post Office, the Homekind hardware store and the Italian restaurant Padano.
