999 crews raced to an incident with a large group of youths on a Glasgow bus. 

The force was deployed to the bus terminus on Scaraway Street in the city's Milton.

It comes as a gang of young people were involved in an incident on the First number 75 service.

Cops dispersed the group and First Glasgow confirmed that an investigation into the incident is ongoing.

They are assisting officers with their enquiries.

A spokesperson for First said: “We can confirm there was an incident involving a large group of youths on the No.75 bus at the Scaraway Street terminus on Sunday night.

“The police were called and the large group were dispersed from the area. We are continuing to assist the police with their enquiries."

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “Around 3pm on Sunday, January 13, police were made aware of a group of youths on a bus on Scaraway Street, Glasgow, having set fire to an item causing damage to seats and a window.

“No one was injured and enquiries into the incident are ongoing.”
