A popular Glasgow bakery will close for an 'extraordinary' transformation.
Valaria, which was opened by Six by Nico boss Nico Simeone last year, is a patisserie and bakery located on Byres Road the city's bustling West End.
Now after almost a year of offering customers delicate baked goods and gourmet coffee, Simeone has revealed new plans for the venue.
Valaria will close temporarily from January 22 until February 5 as part of a 'fresh start' for the bakery.
Simeone teased the plans to his social media followers, revealing that the team is planning to 'redefine the space' and make changes to introduce breakfast, brunch and lunch offerings.
A statement read: "It’s a New Year and it is bringing a fresh start for Valaria.
"Where do we begin? After one year of learning, growing and listening we are pleased to announce that we will be rejuvenating the Valaria experience.
"Our goal is to refine the space where daily indulgence meets the pursuit of creativity and the appreciation of artisanal ingredients.
"That’s why we’re proud to introduce our revitalisation with ’Valaria Artisan Eatery. Our changes will allow us to introduce our new breakfast, brunch and lunch experiences with the ultimate goal of making your every day with us extraordinary.
"The second chapter of our journey will launch on Monday, February 5.
"In order to make our new dream a reality, we will close from Monday, January 22, reopening on Monday, February 5."
It comes after we reported that images have been revealed of a first look inside Six by Nico's new Merchant City restaurant.
Every six weeks, Chef Nico and his team reinvent their food offering, serving a brand new six-course tasting menu, each one themed around a different location, memory or idea.
The first concept at the new Glasgow location will be based on The Mad Hatter's Tea Party.
