TWO people have been rushed to hospital following a rush hour car smash in Glasgow yesterday.
We previously reported that Langlands Road was closed in both directions from Shieldhall Road roundabout to the A739 Clyde Tunnel Express southbound off-slip due to a crash at around 4pm on Tuesday, January 16.
According to the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service, the accident involved two vehicles.
In total, two fire vehicles were sent to the scene where crews worked to make the area safe.
Following that, both of the drivers involved in the incident were taken to hospital.
The road reopened at around 6.50pm.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: "Around 4.20pm on Tuesday, January 16, we received a report of a crash on Shieldhall Road, Glasgow.
"Both drivers were taken to hospital and the road re-opened around 6.50pm."
Meanwhile, a spokesperson for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said: "We were alerted at 4.25pm on Tuesday, January 16, to reports of a road traffic collision involving two private vehicles on Langlands Road, Glasgow.
“Operations Control mobilised two fire appliances to the area where firefighters worked to make the area safe.
“One casualty was taken to hospital by Scottish Ambulance Service.”
