A Lanarkshire-wide service is available to those who feel deflated this January.
Lanarkshire Mind Matters is a free online service available to residents who need support, with professionals from NHS Lanarkshire Adult Psychological Services running the site and offering help.
The service aims to inform locals with mental health information, advice and help. There are a range of tools on the website to help people make changes at their own pace and to discover new ways of coping with difficult thoughts and feelings.
Staff work in many different areas from general mental health to specialist services – the website is designed to be very general but more specific help is available too.
Help on offer includes a calm distress online therapy course, online cognitive behavioural therapy, the SilverCloud service which offers cognitive behavioural therapy courses that can help with a variety of different problems, a service to help with anxiety and insomnia and resources for kids and teenagers.
The site can be accessed online.
