999 crews rushed to four separate car smashes on a busy motorway in Glasgow last night.
Officers say that they received multiple reports of crashes on the M77, northbound, between junctions 3 and 5 at around 8.10pm on Monday, January 22.
On arrival at the scene, cops were met with four accidents.
Following the incidents, a woman was taken to hospital for treatment.
We previously reported that the road had to be closed by police due to a 'multi-vehicle smash'.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: "Around 8.10pm on Monday, January 22, we received multiple reports of crashes on the M77, northbound, between junctions 3 and 5.
"Emergency services attended. There were four separate crashes.
“A female driver involved in one of the incidents was taken to hospital as a precaution. There were no further reports of injuries.
"The road was closed to allow for recovery and reopened around 10.20pm."
