LEGENDARY football star, Eric Cantona is to play a concert in Glasgow this year.
The former Manchester United and France player will bring his 'Cantona Sings Eric' tour to the city's O2 Academy on Friday, April 12.
The player is known for also starring at clubs including Leeds United, Marseille, Auxerre and as an international with France, winning 45 caps.
However, while the 57-year-old played football for many years, he revealed music has always been part of his life.
Announcing his tour, Eric said: "Music has always been part of my life.
"I've always had music playing. Why start today, so many years later?
"Simply because I had lacked the time before.
"During lockdown, I finally managed to give the guitar a serious go, and even though I’m still a poor guitarist, I felt confident enough to whip a few songs into shape”.
Since hanging up his boots in 1997 Cantona has also forged a career as an actor, mostly in France, and played himself in the Ken Loach film Looking for Eric.
Tickets for the show will go on sale from Friday, January 26, at 10am.
There will also be a presale for tickets on Thursday, January 25, at 10am.
