Tributes have been paid to a 'much-loved' former chairman of a Glasgow housing association who has died.
John McLardie was the chairman of the Govanhill Housing Association until last year.
The association announced that he passed away on December 31, 2023.
John's funeral will take place on Wednesday, January 31 with housing association offices closing so staff can attend and pay their respects.
In a touching tribute, a spokesperson said: "We were deeply saddened to learn of the death of John McLardie, who passed away on December 31 last year.
"John was the chair of Govanhill Housing Association up until 2023, and a very active, and much-loved member of our community. He will be sorely missed.
"His funeral will take place on Wednesday, January 31 and the Association offices will close between 10am and 1:30pm to allow staff to attend."
Tributes have already poured in for John, who was described as a 'much-loved and active' member of the community.
One person said: "RIP John and thinking of all your family."
Another wrote: "So sad condolences to John's family and friends."
A third added: "Sad news, May He Rest in Peace."
