A man has been arrested following a 'series of attacks' near Glasgow.
Two robberies are alleged to have taken place at a service station on Alexander Street in Airdrie earlier this week.
One is said to have occurred on Monday, January 22 and the second on Thursday, January 25.
Meanwhile, another alleged robbery took place at a service station on Main Street in Coatbridge on Tuesday, January 23.
No one was reported to have been injured, but shop staff were said to have been left 'shaken' as a result of the alleged incidents.
Cops have arrested a 40-year-old man in connection.
He is due to appear at Airdrie Sheriff Court on Friday, January 26 and a report will be sent to the procurator fiscal.
Detective Sergeant Greig Muir, from Coatbridge CID, said: “We’d like to thank the public for their assistance as we carried out our swift enquiries into this series of attacks.”
