A MAN has been reported following a 'dog attack' in Hamilton earlier this week.
We previously reported that 999 crews raced to Tinto View at around 5pm on Tuesday, January 23, after receiving a report of the incident.
During the situation, a large bulldog-type dog 'attacked' two men and it was then shot dead by armed police due to being 'dangerously out of control'.
Following that, a 48-year-old man was taken to hospital for treatment for serious injuries.
Meanwhile, a second man, aged 27, who was 'attacked' by the animal on Loudonhill Avenue, shortly before the Tinto View incident, was taken to hospital for minor injuries.
Now, cops have revealed a 48-year-old man has been reported to the Procurator Fiscal in connection with offences relating to the Dangerous Dog Act.
Police have also revealed the body of the animal was taken for special veterinary assessment, however, it was not possible to establish its specific breed.
