A busy road has suddenly closed today due to a 'dangerous tree'.
The tree was discovered on the Drumloch Highway in the Chapelton are of Strathaven, South Lanarkshire.
Muttonhall Road to Shawton Road has been shut as a result.
A local diversion is available via Burn Road. It is unknown when the issue will be resolved.
South Lanarkshire Council put the news on X today, writing: "Due to a dangerous tree on Drumloch Highway, Chapelton, there is a road closure from Muttonhall Road to Shawton Road.
"Local diversion - Shawton Road, Burn Road, A723, Muttonhole Road."
