Cops are still investigating the death of a teenager at a Glasgow rave just after New Year's Eve.
An 18-year-old woman collapsed at SWG3 in the early hours of Tuesday, January 2 after attending the Teletech Glasgow: NYD 2024 event.
She was rushed to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital after staff called an ambulance for her where she was later pronounced dead.
Cops confirmed at the time that they were investigating her death, with one line of enquiry being considered that it was drug-related.
Now, almost a month on, the force has revealed that their enquiries are continuing.
We previously reported that SWG3 had said staff intervened after seeing the young woman "in distress".
The venue closed over the weekend as a mark of respect, and staff added that they were taking "significant measures" to prevent drugs from entering the venue.
They said: "In response to the recent tragic incident at our venue, SWG3, we extend our deepest condolences to the family of the young woman who lost her life.
"This is a heartbreaking and devastating situation and our thoughts are with them during this difficult time."
A spokesperson added: "Our commitment to the safety and well-being of our patrons remains unwavering, and we will continue to review and enhance our safety protocols to prevent such heart-breaking incidents in the future."
