Firefighters and police raced to the property on Carlton Place, just metres from Glasgow Sheriff Court, at around midday on Saturday.
Teams worked to extinguish the fire and five people were checked over by paramedics following the blaze.
Cops then uncovered the cannabis cultivation on the premises.
We previously reported that the fire was being treated as a deliberate act.
The force confirmed today that they are still investigating the incident and they are urging any witnesses to get in touch.
