A teenager has been stabbed in a shocking attack in the middle of Glasgow city centre.
The 16-year-old was attacked on Argyle Street on Wednesday evening.
999 crews including cops and ambulance teams were alerted to the scene at around 8.40pm.
He was rushed to hospital to be treated for his injuries.
The force confirmed that they had been made aware of the horror incident and that an investigation has been launched.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 8.40pm on Wednesday, January 31, 2024, we received a report that a 16-year-old boy had been seriously assaulted in Argyle Street in Glasgow.
"He was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment and enquiries are ongoing."
The Scottish Ambulance Service has been contacted for comment.
