A Blantyre man who died after being hit by a lorry has been named by police.
As the Glasgow Times reported in December, police were called to Glasgow Road around 5.55pm on Tuesday, December 19 following a report of a crash involving a white Isuzu Grafter Flatbed and a pedestrian.
The 84-year-old man was rushed to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital and died the next day.
Cops today confirmed the pensioner was local resident Robert Shira-Gibb.
A 53-year-old man, the driver of the lorry, was arrested in connection with a road traffic offence and released pending further enquiries.
