A POPULAR Glasgow chippy has been nominated for a top prize at the Scottish Restaurant Awards.
Merchant Chippie on High Street in the city has been announced as a finalist in the 'Fish and Chips Restaurant of the Year' category at the event.
We previously reported that two other Glasgow restaurants are up for an award as well.
Meat Joint Scottish Steakhouse and Stailinn Scottish Kitchen in Silverburn are battling it out among other venues to be crowned the 'Scottish Restaurant of the Year'.
A spokesperson for the Scottish Restaurant Awards 2024 said: “The Scottish Restaurant Awards are an amazing opportunity to celebrate and showcase the very best and diverse range in Scottish dining.
"We are thrilled to have such a strong mix of talent nominated for this year’s awards and we want to wish all of our finalists the best of luck.”
