A much-loved Chinese restaurant in Glasgow is set to close and move locations.
The Real Wan will shut its doors on Wednesday, February 7 so that 'important work' can be carried out in the shop.
Chef Lea Wu Hassan revealed that the closure of the Newlands Road eatery is part of a grand plan to move and reopen in nearby Mount Florida.
In a statement shared with her followers on Instagram, Lea wrote: "We are moving to a new location!!! Don’t panic my dearest Southside people, it’s just two minutes on the train, over in Mount Florida.
"Thank you for all your love and support since day 1, authentic southern Chinese food was hardly a thing here when I started but with all of you trying the food and sharing the experience with your loved ones, we have been able to run for over 3 years.
"Thank you for putting up with such a small shop, its shameless decoration and my unacceptable social media activity.
"Now we are moving onwards but you have my word that the only things that will change is that we will have more space and a more comfortable dining area and most importantly, a better kitchen so I can create some more of the traditional food that I have desperately wanted to share with you guys!!"
Loyal customers were full of praise and support for the move, with one saying: "You're coming to Mount Florida....oh my! *Faints in excitement*"
A second wrote: "Sorry to see you go from Newlands Road! Loved all the food you make! Good luck in MF (Mount Florida) will absolutely still come!"
A third added: "Woohoo great news! Happy New Year!"
Chef Lea also teased plans for a special new menu to celebrate Lunar New Year, which will be served to customers from February 9 to 11.
