A MAN has been arrested after cops chased a 'stolen car' around Glasgow last night.

Officers say they spotted the nicked motor, which allegedly had been involved in other criminality, in the city's Royston area on Tuesday, February 6.

Following that, police claim the driver, who was 'disqualified' and 'drug driving', then made off and rammed two patrol cars.

Road cops then pursued the motorist around the Robroyston and Stepps areas.

The pursuit then concluded with damage to the police vehicles and the stolen motor.

After it, the driver of the car, a 37-year-old man was arrested for numerous offences including several warrants.

He is set to appear in court today (Wednesday, February 7).

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: "Some people may have witnessed a lot of police activity in and around Robroyston earlier tonight.

"Whilst in Royston, Glasgow Road Policing had spotted this stolen vehicle, which had been involved in other criminality.

"The driver who was disqualified made off upon seeing police.

"The vehicle was pursued around the north of the city before it concluded in the driver's arrest for a number of offences, including drug driving."
