A MAN was brutally assaulted during a horror attack at a taxi rank in Glasgow.
Officers say the incident took place on George Square in the city centre on Sunday, January 28, at around 4.30am.
During the disturbance, a 41-year-old man was waiting at a taxi rank when another man punched him in the face, causing him to fall to the ground.
Following that, the man was rushed to hospital for treatment of a head injury.
He was then discharged.
Now, detectives are appealing for witnesses following the serious assault.
Constable Martin Howie, of Greater Glasgow CID, said: “Our enquiries into this incident are ongoing and I am appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the assault and who hasn’t already spoke to officers to get in touch.”
