A wounded man was found on a residential street in the East End of Glasgow this morning.
The 29-year-old was rushed to hospital shortly after 7.30am following an incident.
Officers remained tight-lipped as they locked down the scene at Collessie Drive to search for answers.
The man is currently being treated at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.
A spokesperson for the force confirmed that an investigation has been launched into the incident and the road remains locked down.
Photos from the scene reveal a section of Collessie Drive taped off near the junction with Mossvale Road.
We previously reported that First Bus services were forced to divert due to the incident.
No arrests have been made at this time and the condition of the injured man is unknown.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 7.35am on Friday, February 9, 2024 officers were called to a report of a person injured on Collessie Drive, Glasgow.
"A 29-year-old man was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital by ambulance.
"The road is currently closed and enquiries are ongoing."
A Scottish Ambulance Service spokesperson added: “We received a call at 7.32am to attend an incident on Collessie Drive, Glasgow.
"An ambulance was dispatched to the scene and one patient was transported to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, Glasgow.”
