UPDATE: Margaret has been traced safe and well.
A search has been launched for a woman who has vanished in an 'out of character' disappearance.
Margaret O’Reilly was last seen at around 6.30am on Monday, February 12 in Scott's Place in Airdrie.
Officers have carried out extensive enquiries to try and locate her, but this has so far proved unsuccessful.
Now the force is urging the public to look out for the 58-year-old.
She is around 5ft 8 in in height, with a slim build.
Margaret has long, blonde hair and wears glasses, and it is not known what she was wearing at the time of her disappearance but she usually wears jeans.
Sergeant Alister Thom said: “This is very out of character for Margaret, she maintains contact with her family and they are understandably very concerned about her.
"I am appealing to anyone who may have seen Margaret or who has any information as to her whereabouts to contact us.”
Anyone with information is asked to call Police Scotland via 101, quoting incident number 2769 of Monday, February 12, 2024.
