A teen has been charged after a police helicopter was 'targeted' while in the air.
The incident occurred on Thursday, February 8 in Renfrew where a laser pen was allegedly shone at the helicopter.
After carrying out enquiries into the dangerous act, officers charged a 14-year-old boy in connection.
A spokesperson for the Police Scotland Air Unit said: "A 14-year-old male has been charged in connection with a laser pen directed at the Police Scotland helicopter.
"The incident happened on Thursday, February 8 in the Renfrew area.
"This is a very serious crime endangering the safety of an aircraft and its crew. Don’t do it."
