A PRISONER at Glasgow's HMP Barlinnie has died.
David Crawford, who was convicted at Edinburgh High Court in 2004, passed away on Friday, February 2.
Police Scotland has since been advised of the death of the 59-year-old.
A report has also been sent to the Procurator Fiscal and a Fatal Accident Inquiry will take place at a later date.
A statement published by the Scottish Prison Service said: "David Crawford, 59 , a prisoner at HMP Barlinnie has died on February 2, 2024. He was convicted at Edinburgh High Court in 2004.
"Police Scotland have been advised and the matter reported to the Procurator Fiscal.
"A Fatal Accident Inquiry will be held in due course.
